An internal emergency
medical service system

RCF Arena Reggio Emilia has been designed to handle all kinds of health emergencies during major and minor events, thanks to an emergency medical service within the structure, supported by a medical team and a fleet of ambulances, so that people can be attended to in complete safety in the RCF Arena, the Hospitality Area and the parking areas.

A team of doctors and nurses
on hand all the time

nside RCF Arena Reggio Emilia and in the Hospitality Area, first aid can be managed right there on the spot, reducing intervention time to a minimum and avoiding overcrowding at the local hospital: the doctors and nurses on the team are able to assess the complexity of the intervention required, and depending on the severity, decide whether to attend to patients inside the structure or send them to the city’s hospital.

Health safety for major events

  • 7 emergency medical service points for first aid:
    6 in the RCF Arena and 1 in the Hospitality Area
  • 1 field emergency aid point inside the RCF Arena for urgent assistance
  • Team of doctors and nurses on hand at each emergency medical service point and at the field emergency aid point inside the facility
  • Adequate number of ambulances in the RCF Arena, the Hospitality Area and the parking areas, for the transport of patients to the emergency medical services, to the field emergency point inside the arena, as well as to the city’s hospital (when necessary)
  • Continual traffic system around the inside of the Arena for rescue vehicles
  • Simple, practical traffic network with separate lanes for ambulances to and from the city’s hospital
